The End of the First Month of the Year

Today is the last day of the first month of the year. 2009 is 1/12th complete. I always thought it was funny when people would say that time flies when you are having fun, and that the older you get the faster it goes.

Now, I understand why it is said. IT's TRUE!

I have never really had a problem with the passage of time until recently. Nowadays, time flies whether I am having fun or not. I find this especially true when I look at my oldest son, and I wonder how he got to be 20 yrs old. It really doesn't seem like that much time has passed.

I hope that time flies quickly for him for the next 2 1/2 years as he completes his commitment to the USMC. This is a time in our lives that I do want to pass quickly and safely. Joining the Military is a good thing, but this just wasn't the best time to do it. I do not know what is in store for us this year, but I hope that he finds what he's looking for and has fun along the way.
